Live Interview with Suzanne Ehlers and Atul Gawande

Suzanne Ehlers, CEO of PAI, and Atul Gawande, writer, surgeon, and Executive Director of Ariadne Labs, kicked off the week with a live interview about why strong PHC is a must if the world is to deliver on our promises to women and girls. Watch the full interview here.

Engaging Panel Discussion with PHC Leaders

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation hosted a panel discussion featuring Angel Chelwa, a Women Deliver Young Leader, Papa Gaye, CEO of IntraHealth, and Atul Gawande, moderated by Suzanne Ehlers. Discussion centered on the importance of PHC to women’s and girls’ health, and the role advocacy plays in helping countries make improvements in their PHC systems. Panelists sparked an engaging conversation on PHC from the women’s perspective, and once again raised the importance of PHC to achieving the ambitious UHC agenda.

PHC Women Deliver

PHCPI is inspired by the work of countless advocates, program managers, policymakers, and global leaders advancing women’s health issues around the world. Their efforts motivate us on a daily basis as we work hand in hand to strengthen PHC systems to ensure that women and children everywhere receive high-quality healthcare.
